From a recent interview with Catherine Hardwicke:
RK: What’s the song in the trailer?
CH: That’s the song performed at our Burning Man concert. It’s the Swedish band Fever Ray. Karin [Dreijer Andersson], the leader of the band, collaborated with our composer Brian Reitzell to create this song that you see musicians performing live in the movie with the Bosch instruments. I loved it cause it was haunting. I felt like it was ancient, but edgy and modern.
And a little more about the music in the trailer here.
No word yet on when the song or soundtrack will be released. The only available information is what Catherine Hardwicke has said in the above interview. No song name or complete recording has been released.
While we wait for the song to be released in its entirety, check out more music from Fever Ray below:
2ND TRAILER UPDATE: Find out about the music in the newest trailer here.
So will the song be featured on the soundtrack when the movie comes out? There's been times when a movie has had a really cool song and it's not been included in the soundtrack.
ReplyDeleteFrom what the interview says, the song should be in the movie in some form. Not 100% on anything. Hopefully it will be on the soundtrack. I'm curious to hear some of the score.
ReplyDeleteits called "keep the streets empty for me" by Fever Ray
ReplyDeleteThat's actually just a song from a previous album.
ReplyDeleteits awesome! i just typed that q into google and got this link on the answers! if u find the actual song let me know cuz its totally in my head!
ReplyDeleteHi guys, thanks for all of the great info and help HOWEVER the song I am looking for (and countless others) is NEITHER "Keep the Streets Empty For Me", NOR "If I Had a Heart". Both of these songs are great, I agree, however the song we are looking for also has female vocals, appears around the 44 second mark of the trailer and has lyrics like "I'm black because...." then it sounds like "and its cold and you...". Again Fever Ray is great but does anyone know this song? Thanks again everyone.
ReplyDeleteAll that is known is what was said by Catherine in that interview. There is no further information on the song, like a title. There is still no information on the soundtrack or score, including a release date. The video included is just a sample of Fever Ray music since the movie song is still unavailable.
ReplyDeleteThe song in the trailer is called "The Wolf" by Fever Ray. The track listing is on IMDB...finally!
